This series brings together the painted landscape and the inebriated subject. I strive to go to the underside of human behaviour and explore this in a humorous light fashion. These works bring together two elements that have a long standing in Canadian identity; the reverence of the landscape and our long tradition of alcohol consumption. It is self-reflection of the virtue and vice of Canadian identity that are in direct contrast here – a look at our virtuous nationalism anchored with a blurry eyed event.
